SmartDocs 360 extracts transaction data from PDF bank statements and exports it into various formats for easy import into accounting software. This helps you:

Step 1: Upload Bank Statements
Upload via Documents Screen

Navigate to Documents in SmartDocs 360. |

| Click Upload Documents |
Upload via Email

Send your bank statements to the designated SmartDocs email.
Processing Time

Extraction takes up to 2 minutes, with 90% of files processed in under 30 seconds.
Step 2: Review and Edit Data
Once uploaded, click on the uploaded bank statement to review extracted data.
Once selected, the preview screen will display
- The left panel displays the original PDF.

The right panel shows the extracted transactions.
Additional Features:

Sort by Columns: Click column headers to reorder transactions. |

Toggle DR/CR Columns: Switch between Debit and Credit views. |

Manually Add Line Items: Click a button to insert new transactions. |

| Show/Hide Column Filters: Toggle visibility of filtering options. | |
| Adjust Density: Change text size for better readability. | |
| Reprocess Document: Allows users to update document details, such as revising the category list or adding new contacts. See How to Reprocess a Document in BGL SmartDocs | |
| Delete Model: If the selected document includes multiple models, then any unneeded models can be deleted. | |
| Currency: If the statement uses a different currency from the entity’s base currency, you can change it. The system automatically applies the RBA exchange rate (based on the transaction date), displays converted amounts during data entry, and shows column totals for both the original and converted amounts. |
